Wait Mate Parent Information Session

Wait Mate Parent Information Session
As a school community, we are always looking for ways to support families through the questions that come with raising children today. One of the most common questions we hear concerns smartphones: when is the right time, and how do we make that decision well?

We are pleased to let you know that Richmond Primary School is hosting a free Wait Mate parent session on Tuesday 3 November, 5.30pm to 6.30pm, at Richmond Primary School.

Wait Mate is a movement built on a straightforward idea: waiting as long as possible before giving a child their own smartphone, and doing so alongside other families, so that no parent has to make that choice alone. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ

The session offers clear, balanced information without judgement or scare tactics, along with the chance to hear from other parents and carers weighing up the same questions.

The session will also cover information for families who have already given their child a smartphone , and so I encourage all families to book. Wait Mate is funded by the South Australian Government ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ, and there is no cost to attend.

๐Ÿ“… To book: Visit sa.waitmate.org.au and search Richmond Primary School.
โš ๏ธ Capacity is limited.

Can't make our session? No problem! ๐Ÿ˜Š There are other sessions happening across the week in our local area, and Richmond Primary School parents are warmly invited to attend whichever session suits you best. ๐ŸŒŸ
