Celebrating Our School Community – 2026 Parent Survey Results

At Richmond Primary School, we are proud of the strong relationships we share with our families and the welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment we continue to build together. We would like to thank the 75 families who took the time to complete the 2026 Parent Survey. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us celebrate what we are doing well, while continuing to identify opportunities to make our school even better.

Some Wonderful Results to Celebrate!

Our 2026 survey highlighted many positive aspects of our school community:

  • 97% of parents agreed that education is important, an increase from 2025!

  • 90% agreed that teachers and students treat each other respectfully.

  • 89% agreed that people within our school community are respectful.

  • 76% agreed that their child is important to the school.

  • 74% agreed they receive enough communication from the school.

  • 73% indicated that their child has a good home learning routine.

These results reflect the positive culture we continue to nurture at Richmond Primary, where respect, inclusivity, belonging and a love of learning are at the heart of what we do.

Opening Our Classrooms and Strengthening Connections

One of our ongoing priorities has been to create more opportunities for families to feel connected to their child's learning and school experiences.

Throughout 2026, we have been intentional in finding new ways to welcome our community into our school and provide greater opportunities for families to see learning in action.

Some examples include:

  • Changes to our Acquaintance Evening – creating a more welcoming and engaging opportunity for families to connect with teachers and gain an understanding of their child's learning environment.

  • Our Science Expo – opening our learning spaces to families and providing opportunities for students to proudly share their scientific thinking, investigations and discoveries.

  • Year 5/6 Enterprise – showcasing student creativity, collaboration, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills, while inviting families to be part of these authentic learning experiences.

These are just a few examples of the ways we have been working to strengthen the connection between home and school.

Continuing to Grow Together

While there is much to celebrate, the survey also highlighted an opportunity to further strengthen parent voice and involvement in their child's learning.

We recognise that families play an essential role in their child's education, and we want every parent and carer to feel informed, included and connected to their child's learning journey.

The initiatives introduced throughout 2026 are important steps in this direction, and we look forward to continuing to build on these opportunities in 2027.

Thank You to Our Wonderful Families!

Our school is more than just classrooms and learning spaces – it is a community built on relationships, partnerships and a shared commitment to helping every child thrive.

We are proud of the positive feedback received and grateful for the ongoing support of our families.

Together, we will continue to create opportunities for our students and families to belong, collaborate and thrive.

Thank you for being such an important part of our Richmond Primary School community!
